Sometimes I am lucky enough to meet a family so good and wholesome and fun that the world just seems like a brighter place. This family is definitely like that for me. It warms my heart so much to know that such wonderful families are out there, and I am lucky enough to occasionally cross paths with them in my particular line of work. Also, shoutout to this awesome Dad as well! This sweet father is one of the most involved and enthusiastic Dads I’ve ever photographed. I’ve photographed lots of great Dads but he definitely deserves a special mention. And this family is so incredibly close and loving with each other, it’s clearly evident in their photos. I am so excited for their two beautiful young daughters to grow up and see where their beautiful paths take them.

What to wear for Family Photos

They chose a beautiful wardrobe for their style. Soft color palettes with neutrals and pastels are a perfect choice. The two flowy, boho style dresses are perfect choices, as well as the lace for the younger daughter. We incorporated flower crowns which helps to make the images even more artistic, meaningful, poetic, and unique.

Print your Photos!

When I went to visit this family in their home afterwards, I saw that they had big, beautiful wall art all over their home! Yay!!! This is exactly what I encourage my clients to do. It is such a shame to go through the investment of time and money into a beautiful session, only to have your images rust in a harddrive somewhere.

Before I offered my full-service experience, my clients almost NEVER did anything with their photos. And the one client who did actually order something, ordered from a low quality company and half of her image was cropped off poorly. So this is what I’m here to help with! After the session, I help my clients print and display their photos in their homes.

Photography Details

This session was photographed outdoors at sunset. Sessions typically last between 45 minutes and an hour. I guide my clients through a variety of types of shots, including standing, walking, playing, and sitting. All photos were taken on a Canon EOS 60D and a 50mm 1.4 lens. All photos were hand edited with both Lightroom and Photoshop; no presets or actions were used.
