San Jose Studio Maternity Photos

Photographing this beautiful couple in my San Jose studio was such a joy for me! We began with a soft, natural setup on the white wall—neutral tones, gentle light, and simple, sweet simplicity. Then we moved into a darker moodier setup to create a few more dramatic portraits using a gray backdrop—these images added richness and depth to their collection, and gave us an elegant contrast to the lighter, brighter scenes.

One of the wonderful benefits of a studio session is the access to my curated client closet, which allowed this mama-to-be to effortlessly try on a few different dresses that suited both her style and the tone of their gallery. It made the experience relaxed and enjoyable, and we could capture a lot of variety and versatility in the final photos.

Afterward, we took a short drive to a nearby park, where we were treated to the most golden, glowing sunset. The hillside lights up at golden hour, leading to a dreamy, outdoor element to their session.

What made this session even more meaningful was the connection we shared. We swapped stories about their Balkan heritage, a country I originally lived in for two years! This sweet couple kept me laughing all throughout the photoshoot and I love that their joy and genuine friendship is captured in the final gallery.
