Artistic Philosophy

Let the kids run free.

I believe in bear hugs and bare feet. I believe windswept hair is it’s own kind of beauty. If there’s water, we’re definitely getting in it.

In my portfolio, you’ll find no complicated props or Pinterest-y set-ups; just authentic moments.

I’m passionate about relaxed photography for laid-back, adventurous families. Forget perfect & polished— that’s not real life and it’s not you! Kids will be kids and I’m happy to embrace the chaos.

If you’re worried about your brood holding still, staying spotlessly clean, and cheesing for my camera— I might not be the right photographer for you, and that’s okay!

My humble ambition for your photo gallery is to leave you with vibrantemotionalartistic images.

So if you’re open to letting things get messy, showering your babies in a thousand tiny kisses, climbing beautiful hills at sunset, and dancing like no one is watching, we might be perfect together.

Sound like exactly what you’re looking for?

Meet Me

I’ve had a camera in my hand as long as I can remember. After college I earned my M.Ed., planning to travel the world as an international teacher. After teaching in the US for a year, I moved abroad to teach and explore this beautiful world (40+ countries) for 3 years, with my camera in hand the whole time. I loved photographing the diversity of landscapes and cultures on our beautiful planet.

Now I’ve settled in the US, turning my lens to capture the beauty and intimacy of family photos.

We welcomed our beautiful daughter into our family in 2022. Becoming a parent has really helped to shape my view of family photography. I understand even more intimately the beauty and depth of the moments worth documenting in our children’s lives. These photos, moments, and memories are so invaluable.

As a former teacher, I love kids of all ages, which is why I specialize in family photography. Connecting with children, learning about them, and helping capture their truest selves is one of the best parts about my job!

The best part of my work is connecting with wonderful, wholesome, loving humans…just like you!
