I am still swooning over these fun photos we captured of this beautiful couple at Marin Headlands!
When we first arrived, we were afraid it was going to be way too foggy and cloudy, but this weather actually perfectly softened the light and I love the moody tones it lent to the gallery!
This location is a bit of a winding drive, but the epic views are unparalleled! We met at a scenic lookout point with a few different trails intersecting from a small parking lot for about 6-7 cars. There is a small bathroom on site, and you can walk down the steps to get to the beach (warning— it did NOT look very fun to come up all those steps back to the parking lot! #legday?)
I LOVE this couple’s cute outfit choice! Guys are easy to dress and this fella nailed it: khakis or chino pants, with a neutral button-down shirt in colors like white, gray, or soft blue. Women look amazing in long flowing dresses that add great visual interest to photos. The styling details such as the boho hat, ruffles, and flowing texture of the dress really elevate the design of this gallery.
It was so much fun to get to work with someone I knew from back in college! This gorgeous girl and I have led coincidentally parallel lives. We graduated from the same university in Tennessee and were in the same sorority, though we were in different classes. After college, we both moved abroad to travel and see the world. She met her sweetheart while teaching in Prague. I met my sweetheart teaching in Albania. We traveled around Europe for several years at the same time, though our paths never crossed. Then we both, separately, with our boyfriends, backpacked around Southeast Asia for a while, even overlapping in the same cities. She eventually made her way down to South America, and I eventually landed here in Silicon Valley. And this month our paths crossed yet again here in Northern California, and it’s been such a joy to reconnect with so much in common and having so many amazing travel stories to share.
This world is a funny thing, y’all. This journey is a crazy ride. But what I love most about this sweet couple is their burning desire to see this beautiful world and not waste a single moment of this precious life. That’s a philosophy I can definitely get behind.
