I was absolutely loving photographing this sweet little boy, his big brown eyes, and this adoring family with arms wrapped around each other. ⁣We chose a beautiful hidden gem right here in the Bay Area on top of a mountain, right at sunset. We are so lucky to live in such a beautiful spot with so many gorgeous photo locations for timeless family photos!

Bay Area Family Photos on Golden Californian Hills

There is no scene quite as iconic as the beautiful rolling golden hills of Northern California. This is one of my most requested locations for families in the Bay Area. This location is conveniently located in Palo Alto and easy to access. One advantage is that it also doesn’t require a permit! It is mostly an open space, so on days when there is no cloud coverage (like in the session below), a photographer must be creative and experienced to work artistically with the direct sunlight. Fortunately this is one of my most popular client choices, so I have a lot of experience working here!

Sometimes I am lucky enough to meet a family so good and wholesome and fun that the world just seems like a brighter place. This family is definitely like that for me. It warms my heart so much to know that such wonderful families are out there, and I am lucky enough to occasionally cross paths with them in my particular line of work. Also, shoutout to this awesome Dad as well! This sweet father is one of the most involved and enthusiastic Dads I’ve ever photographed. I’ve photographed lots of great Dads but he definitely deserves a special mention. And this family is so incredibly close and loving with each other, it’s clearly evident in their photos. I am so excited for their two beautiful young daughters to grow up and see where their beautiful paths take them.
