Sometimes I am lucky enough to meet a family so good and wholesome and fun that the world just seems like a brighter place. This family is definitely like that for me. It warms my heart so much to know that such wonderful families are out there, and I am lucky enough to occasionally cross paths with them in my particular line of work. Also, shoutout to this awesome Dad as well! This sweet father is one of the most involved and enthusiastic Dads I’ve ever photographed. I’ve photographed lots of great Dads but he definitely deserves a special mention. And this family is so incredibly close and loving with each other, it’s clearly evident in their photos. I am so excited for their two beautiful young daughters to grow up and see where their beautiful paths take them.

Engagement Session | Memphis, TN | Silicon Valley Photographer

This remains one of my favorite photography sessions I’ve ever shot.

This sweet couple is one of the sweetest, kindest, smartest, and most fantastically photogenic couples I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet.

This was originally photographer in the cotton fields of Memphis, TN, my hometown. I still accept bookings there now, although I primarily serve the Silicon Valley / San Francisco Bay Area Region.

oh my, 3 boys!! This sweet family reminds me of everything that is good in the world. Three beautiful, kind, spunky, adventurous, loving little boys. Full of love and laughter and dirt and mischief and so, so much heart. I hope they cherish these photos as much as I already do!!

Garden Family Photo Session by Iris & Lace Photography | Silicon Valley Photographer

The magic is in the garden.

This family session was photographed in their own family gardens, among a collection of over a thousand roses! It was simply spectacular and tucked away like their own secret paradise. They chose a wardrobe of laidback, flowing, springy pieces to compliment the natural scenery.

The Art of Editing: A Peak Behind-The-Scenes!

Today I want to help demystify all the ~secret~ things happening behind the scenes at Iris & Lace.

(And these are truly secrets, because normally I don’t ever show RAW, unedited photos, since obviously they don’t live up to the high quality of Iris & Lace Photography! But today you’re getting an inside peak at all the hidden work I do after our session together.)

As you know, there’s a BIG different in a snapshot, and a professional image.

A lot of the magic is in the post-processing of the photos.

This trail is a great option for photoshoots with families with older children and couples because it is a relatively short walk, (no more than a mile), with only a few slight hills. There are also bathrooms on the premises which is good news! The stroll features a few beautiful paths, a medium-sized pond, and a grove of interesting trees.
