Natural family photography in Palo Alto, San Francisco Bay Area Family Photos
Read MoreThere is no scene quite as iconic as the beautiful rolling golden hills of Northern California. This is one of my most requested locations for families in the Bay Area. This location is conveniently located in Palo Alto and easy to access. One advantage is that it also doesn’t require a permit! It is mostly an open space, so on days when there is no cloud coverage (like in the session below), a photographer must be creative and experienced to work artistically with the direct sunlight. Fortunately this is one of my most popular client choices, so I have a lot of experience working here!

Read MoreIs there anything on earth more beautiful than the promise of a new life, deeply loved and prayed for? My heart just loves photographing maternity sessions, especially with a couple just like this! Seeing their love and excited anticipation is such a treasure. I am honored to have the privilege of photographing this milestone before they undertake such a grand adventure with their new baby.
This beautiful gallery celebrates the growing life of a proud and excited couple soon to welcome their baby son into the world. Maternity sessions are best photographed around 30-32 weeks. Her gorgeous red dress accentuates her growing belly and highlights her sweet baby bump. I love this rich, bold color. You can opt for a figure-hugging dress or a flowing dress, but I do recommend long maternity dresses over short maternity dresses. It is also best to opt for a single color, or small subtle patterns, when choosing an outfit. Skip the bold, big, or vibrant patterns for another day.

Read MoreWe photographed this Mommy & Me Photo Session outside in a field, right at sunset. I used golden backlighting to create a sun-soaked, candid, summertime feel for these family portraits. I simply adore their unique connections here. This session features unposed moments and authentic interactions. These sweet boys were full of energy and a healthy dose of mischief. It’s always fun to take little boys outside and let them run barefoot, wild & free, right where they belong!

Read MoreSometimes I am lucky enough to meet a family so good and wholesome and fun that the world just seems like a brighter place. This family is definitely like that for me. It warms my heart so much to know that such wonderful families are out there, and I am lucky enough to occasionally cross paths with them in my particular line of work. Also, shoutout to this awesome Dad as well! This sweet father is one of the most involved and enthusiastic Dads I’ve ever photographed. I’ve photographed lots of great Dads but he definitely deserves a special mention. And this family is so incredibly close and loving with each other, it’s clearly evident in their photos. I am so excited for their two beautiful young daughters to grow up and see where their beautiful paths take them.

This family session was photographed in their own family gardens, among a collection of over a thousand roses! It was simply spectacular and tucked away like their own secret paradise. They chose a wardrobe of laidback, flowing, springy pieces to compliment the natural scenery.
